press release, Paper Pile – Virtual Newspaper
“Paper Pile – Virtual Newspaper” renders printed newspaper redundant
The iPad app “Paper Pile” creates virtual newspapers looking almost exactly as their printed prototypes. It is the user’s choice which content to read. The app uses news feed subscriptions to compose the user’s personal newspaper.
Besides reading printed daily newspapers, many people make use of so-called RSS feeds containing topics they are really interested in. “Paper Pile” combines both media to a new reading experience. In contrast to other iPad apps, “Paper Pile” simulates perfectly the look and feel of real newspapers so even unexperienced users can deal easily with the app. The usage of full justification texts increases this feeling even more. After entering the address of a webpage only, most often the feed is discovered automatically. Beyond that, the integrated feed browser makes it easy to find feeds and subscribe to them.
The application provides an english user interface. More languages will be added in future updates.
